This is the best food I had, very humble ambience, polite staff. Clean place. Food taste homely.
Menu was very traditions items, that not many restaurants have, for the process to make them are typical & tough. -

Something has gone very wrong at this restaurant. The food did not seem to be made by a person with experience cooking and it seemed to be old. It was either overspiced or lacked flavor and was greasy. I have eaten Sri Lankan food before. I like a grimy, hole-in-the-wall place with authentic flavors but this was not it. The food here made everyone in my party feel a little sick afterward.
The restaurant was closed for several weeks in the fall due to a family emergency. With condolences to the family, they must hire a proper chef if they want to stay in business. -

The naan was not fluffy, crispy, or any other things that naan should be.
Our chicken dishes were inedible.
Terrible all around. -

Review from 2019:
What a disaster. We had been so excited to revisit this place but it was starkly different from our previous visit. The food was undercooked (the curried roti was raw - I could literally pull the dough out). They then offered us what was definitely frozen paratha. I suspect that the hoppers were frozen too. Avoid at ALL costs.
Review from 2018:
This is a hidden gem. Both dishes that we ordered based on our server's suggestions were outstanding - wholesome, flavorful and delicious. I picked the curry roti and my husband had the dosa platter. Would go back in a heartbeat. -

I have no idea how this restaurant has received 4 and 5 stars-may be the day we went to this place, they had a different cook-IDK! The only reason why I am giving 2 stars (and not one) is because our server was very good and because the owner/cook (lady) was good enough to make fresh coconut sambor for us, which is the only thing that we liked out of everything we ordered. We ordered masala dosa and coconut roti thali.
Dosa- Omg- I have had srilankan dosa before but this one was not a good one at all. It had "chickpeas" or "cholay curry" in it. The outside of dosa was not like regular srilankan dosa. The sambhar had too much coriander powder. The dosa came without coconut chutney but when we requested for it, the lady was kind enough to make some for us.
Coconut roti- Coconut roti was half cooked, broken and spread on 2 curries - pumpkin curry which was good, but the other curry was not a curry- it was a mix of sauted green pepper and onion in schezwan sauce! We were told that we will get dal and veg korma with the thali. It also came with the chicken curry which was different but very spicy.
Overall, after looking at the reviews of this place, I think that may be today, the cook was different or something was wrong.
